Mercer Island High School

Mercer Island High School’s Civic Club is a fun, social, and engaging way of fostering civic engagement within the youth community. Our goal is to show that anybody can make a difference with just enough knowledge and grit. We will focus on creating a community where each individual can share local issues and learn to engage both themselves and others in solving them. We will do so by having civic debates, creating volunteer opportunities, promoting student-run and community projects, and managing fundraisers. The club will invigorate an already active generation by guiding projects, promoting hands-on activities, holding fundraisers, and teaching them about civic engagement.
